Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute Classes

    302 Kensington   Flint, MI   

Yoga and Meditation Classes

each Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer 

     for cancer patients, survivors, and care givers. 

Classes are grant funded and free of charge to participants. 

Students must register to participate.

Spring Mondays and Wednesdays  

Classes will start the week of March 15, 2021 and will run for 8 weeks, Monday Mindfulness class runs 2 sessions of 4 weeks. 

Begin any class at any time.

 3 - 4 pm  Chair Yoga.  Call Sue Root to register.

                                                              

 4:15 - 5:15 pm  Mindfulness of movement, breath and stillness.

                                              Wednesdays

 

 1:30 - 2:30 pm  YCaT Yoga  (specific curriculum adapted   

               for people managing Cancer and Chronic Illness)

     This class did not start up yet this Spring due to low enrollment.

        to register.  Forms to fill out for participation in this class.

 2:45 - 3:45 pm  (very) Gentle Hatha Yoga. Call Sue Root to register.

               

  

    Special Class offering: 

          Mindful Walking aka Walking Meditation

          First 3 Wednesdays in June. 

          Outdoor Flint location TBD. 

                     10:45-11:45am

               This class will be in person at a location outdoors tbd.

        Participants will be required to wear a mask and to stay at 

             least 6 feet away from others.  Dress for the weather,

         wear comfortable, supportive, sturdy shoes (like gym shoes),

             and bring your own bottle of water.
